12th January 2018 Newsletter
Well we have finished our first full week at St Michael’s and the children have really “hit the ground running”. We have begun our new topics with new displays going up and future plans being put in place. We are implementing some of the great ideas for our classrooms that we learnt on our joint Inset day with other local schools on 5th January which will help us enrich our curriculum even further.
We have sent out our club letter today, all clubs will begin from Monday 22nd January. We have planned some events and themed weeks for the term so please do have a look at the dates on page 2. Just to let you all know with plenty of notice- we will be dressing up as book characters again as part of book week on 1st March on World Book Day.
We have updated our class pages on the website so that you can see what topics your children will be studying this term. You will also have access to our maths and literacy newsletter, our “Writers of the Week” will be rewarded on Mondays assembly and their work posted up on our website under the “Curriculum” tab on the home page.
Our open mornings will be beginning again with a “maths” theme this time. These will start from 22nd January and all begin at 9am. Parents of year 1: look out for the interactive postcard that may be arriving into your inbox to celebrate your child’s good work this weekend!
There is lots happening – happy new term!!
