19th March 2018 Newsletter
First of all thank you so much for all of your understanding over our enforced closure as a result of all the snow, well done to those children who did some “ home learning” whilst the school was closed though I have to say it is nice to be back to normality.
Book week will now be week beginning Mon 19th March and the “dress up” day as a favourite book character will be on Friday 23rd March as a final celebration. There will be a special book week assembly led by Y5 Mrs Dix’s class on Thursday 22nd March postponed from last week. Talking of books, I hope to see as many mums and grandmas coming in this afternoon from 2:45pm for our “ reading with mother” event.
Next Friday is Science Week when the children will don their white science coats for a week of excitement and wonder looking at all things scientific. A letter will go home today via parentpay with more details of activities and competitions taking place but the whole week will end with a celebration of the children’s work on Friday 16th March when we will throw open the doors of the school for parents to come in and see the displays and work in each of the classrooms, this will be from 3pm
Just another reminder about the Parent Forum which will be held from 8:30am with coffee/tea and refreshments on Tuesday 20th March for all parents to pop in and share their opinions with Mrs Collins, Mrs Greatorex our chair of governors and myself.
Everyone should now have received correspondence regarding our parent consultation evening which will take place on Thursday 22nd March from 3:40pm– 8:30pm. Please do use our interactive tool to book a slot.
