SOURCING OUR FOOD

The Contract Dining Company has been awarded the Silver Food for Life Catering Mark. As part of this scheme we aim only to use the best quality ingredients sourced wherever possible from local farms and suppliers with high ethical standards. All meat is farm assured and our minced beef, beef burgers and meatballs are organic. Our pork is freedom pork and eggs are free range, our fish is MSC. All seasonal fruit and vegetables are grown in Kent. We do not use packet mixes to make our sponges, cakes, pastry or sauces.

OUR RECIPES

Our recipes are based on fresh foods that use less fat and less sugar. All homemade dessert recipes now have 25% less sugar. We encourage increased fibre in our recipes and operate a nut free policy. We do not use salt in our cooking. Sourcing most of our ingredients locally means less food miles and allows us to change our menus in line with the seasons.

The Contract Dining Company’s menus have been prepared in compliance with Government School Food Standards.

The Children’s Choice cook book is available to purchase in your school for £1.00. All proceeds go to charity.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS

All pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to free school meals. For further information, please contact the school office.
