6th September 2019 Newsletter
Happy New Year to you all. The children all look stunning returning after the summer all spic and span in their new uniform and shiny new shoes– not a trainer or shirt without a tie in sight. Please lets keep this up.
Our new children have started with us in Early Years and they are great also– lots of happy smiles, settling into activities and already sitting on the carpet ready to listen and learn. We have all been really impressed. Welcome to them and to our new children who have joined in other classes other than Early Years– we wish you well in the St Michael’s Community. The school is oversubscribed in all year groups!
Over the summer we had our main junior and year 5 corridor designed– it looks fab, pop in and see it or go to our website to have a look. We have cleared and sorted our new outside area for Year 1 which is lovely allowing the children to have a rich experience aiding transition from Reception. We also learnt that we have received the Sainsburys School Games Mark at Gold level– this is fantastic news– Platinum next!!
Check out all the dates but as well as Parentpay and twitter as a means of communicating, we also now have our new school Facebook page. For the moment you can search the page through google by typing in facebook.com/stmichaelsrcp and then in the next few days directly through Facebook. Then request to join, ( it is a closed community for parents of the school only) and once accepted, check all the notifications that we will post on regarding events, dates etc. Please do be aware this page will be monitored by our administrator so please be mindful of what we post– anything unsuitable will be removed and blocked!! There is now no excuse for not knowing what’s going on in the school
Please do go on our school website and click under your child’s year group page and then click “Termly overview” and you will see what your child is covering this term. Housekeeping meetings explaining this further will take place, see dates further in this news letter and on the facebook page
What a marvellous first week back! Have a lovely weekend– we all need a rest
