7th February 2020 Newsletter
Our lunch time routines are working really well. I am so impressed with the year 5 children who are our “Dining Hall Leaders”- they are doing a sterling job carrying out their duties, helping the younger children, scraping the plates, being a runner between the hall and the playground and writing the names of the children who have been awarded golden tickets for our tombola– they have really risen to the challenge and I look forward to working with them further as the year progresses.
Today will be the first lunch time when the 6 children whose tickets have been pulled out of the tombola will get the chance to eat at “the golden table” at lunch time as an award for their excellent behaviour and conduct.
During the week we were visited by the NSPCC who held an assembly for our Key stage 1 and then our key stage 2 children on how to keep safe in regard to our own personal space and interactions. The children thoroughly enjoyed this work. NSPCC is a charity and relies on donations to be able to carry out its good work, therefore as a token of our appreciation we will have Green Day next Friday 14th February when the children can wear something green in exchange for a donation– we will have collection buckets at the gate for you to throw in spare change or a £1 coin.
Next Wednesday 11th February is Safer Internet Day when the children will be covering the topic of being safe on the internet– links and resources for parents have been sent out in earlier newsletters for parents but next Friday we will be issuing our first Parent On Line Safety newsletter for all parents to read and refer to
Please take note of our parent consultation dates for next term and put them in your diaries.
Storm winds this weekend so be careful
