Generosity - 14.2.2020
In year 5, as it is wear green for NSPCC the children decided that our collective worship should have a theme of generosity and giving. In response to this we looked at some pictures of charity and discussed what it means. Some of the things that were said included that it makes us feel calm and peaceful and that it shows the importance of caring for everyone and not just the people we know. Another thing that was said is that charity is about coming together to spread love to the poor.
After this we decided to look at a picture of Jesus feeding the Five Thousand. We compared the ideas of charity with it saying that Jesus was bringing the people together to share love and that he is giving His love just like we do.
We listened to the story of Feeding the Five Thousand and then role-played it as a class.
Finally we finished by creating prayers and pictures to show generosity.
Collective worship - generosity
